What is your single greatest achievement outside of sports?
Knowing that by sharing my story and experiences there is a chance that I could inspire one person to dream. Just like how Joan McKusker inspired me.

What's your favourite quote or statement?
"Pain is temporary. It may last a second, a minute, an hour, a day or a year. But eventually it will subside. If I quit however, that act stays with me forever." - Lance Armstrong

Who was your role model when you were young?
My athletic role model was Stephanie Robertson. She taught me how to work hard but also that your biggest competitors can be your best friends. That is a lesson that has helped me to the place I am today.

I just wanted to drop a note letting you know what a fantastic job Kia (Byers) did at our school today.  She is such a genuine person – our students really took to her message.  Thank you for offering the Esteem Team Goal Setting program.
