Tania Archer

“The difference between a dream and a goal is pursuing it…”

Tania’s passion for sports and goal achievement is reflected through her successes on the track and within her other endeavours. A native of Ancaster Ontario, Tania’s sprinting talent was quickly recognized by her phys-ed teachers at elementary school.

She has sprinted on behalf of the Hamilton Olympic club, the University of Alabama Women’s Sprint Team, and at the 1996 Canadian Olympic Team Trials. She’s also competed at national and provincial championships, the USA Indoor Mobile Championships and the Jamaican National Relays.

The E.W. Bardoe award from her Track Club, certificates of athletic excellence from the premier of Ontario, and being invited to the White House Fellow’s Gala in 2005 and 2009, are some of her most memorable achievements.

Tania believes in “paying it forward” and lending her talents to charitable initiatives that focus on the betterment of disadvantaged youth.

Thank you very much Tania (Archer) for such a great program.  I can see by Yana's note that she has taken much to heart.  She is someone who has a learning disability. She is often very hard on herself and lacks confidence in many areas. Thank you for taking the time to speak with her.  It has obviously made a difference.

George Rowell- Principal, Acting Vice Principal, Highland Junior High School - Toronto ON

Our school was thrilled and motivated by Tania's recent presentation. We loved hearing her story. Tania has inspired us to make our own SMART goals and helped us to realize how dangerous a bad attitude can be. Thank you Tania for coming to St. Gabriel's to teach us how to plan to achieve our goals.
