What is ACTIVATE in Action?
ACTIVATE in Action is a year-long youth-driven development program that begins as soon as an ACTIVATE conference ends. It supports ACTIVATORS as they begin or continue their engagement in their communities and lead projects for social change.
What kinds of projects are run?
Since 2004, ACTIVATORS have run all kinds of projects in their communities. These include mini-ACTIVATE conferences, wheelchair basketball tournaments, summer camps for youth in Nunavut or in Toronto, sports leagues and much more.
How does Motivate Canada help?
Motivate Canada supports these projects by providing tools and ongoing advice to the ACTIVATORS, helping them to obtain funding, network in their community and beyond, and work through their action plan. The ACTIVATORS are also supported by the ACTIVATE volunteer team, who act as mentors and guide them through the process.
