Nicole Forrester

Nicole epitomizes what it means to be an outlier: resilient and powerful. Introduced to the high jump at an age when most world class athletes are perfecting the skill and planning for the Olympic Games, Nicole was discovered working at a Mcdonald’s restaurant at the age of 17. Since that fateful day, she has represented Canada on 19 National teams and she also holds the school record at the university of Michigan, the Big Ten Conference, and Championship records.

Nicole Forrester is an Olympian, a 2010 Commonwealth Gold Medalist, and the reigning Canadian Champion in the High Jump. A seven-time Canadian Champion, one of Athletics Canada’s most decorated athletes, and only one centimetre away from the Canadian Record, she is arguably one of Canada’s best high jumpers ever. She is now currently Training for the 2011 World Championships in Korea and the 2012 London Olympic Games.

Nicole is completing her PhD at Michigan State University in Sports Psychology. She is also an entrepreneur and is committed to the excellence of others. She was Athletics Canada’s team captain in the 2008 Olympic Games, a member of the Canadian Olympic Committee, and an ambassador to KidSport. Nicole believes in the power of sport and the improvement of life it can offer.
