Working with the Esteem Team Program Manager and reporting to the Motivate Canada - Ontario Manager, the Ontario Regional Representative will represent Motivate Canada, out of our Toronto offices, and all of it’s programs with a focus on the Esteem Team and Wellness Workshop programs.

Approximately 80% of time will be spent on the Esteem Team program and 20% on other Motivate Canada programs including Gen7, ACTIVATE, Active Circle and Sogo Active.

General Responsibilities include: 

Wellness Workshop Roles *a collaborative effort of the Esteem Team & SOGO Active Programs in Ontario

  • Planning, organizing and reporting on all of the logistics as it relates to the Esteem Team Wellness Workshop program
  • Recruit elementary schools, high schools, school boards, and youth organizations to deliver on our commitments to the Ontario Ministry of Health Promotion to deliver 320 Esteem Team Wellness Workshops to schools across the province.
  • Liaison between Motivate Canada staff and Esteem Team Wellness Workshop partnersMaintain and enhance all partnerships within the Wellness Workshop including regular meetings and follow up reporting
  • Provide Wellness Workshop project updates to both the Motivate Canada Ontario Manager and the Esteem Team Program Manager on an ongoing basis.
  • Gather current information on nutrition, mental health, and physical activity and information from Wellness Workshop project partners to update the Wellness Workshop Online Resource Manual quarterly
  • Complete the Wellness Workshop interim and evaluation report for the Ontario Ministry of Health PromotionCollaborate with the Motivate Canada Ontario Manager in writing stories to share the success of the Wellness Workshop project and the Esteem Team program

Program Support

  • Development and monitoring of critical timelines for Esteem Team in OntarioImplement the action plan for the Esteem Team in Ontario Liaison between program partners, schools and Esteem Team Athlete Role Models 
  • Input into the annual plans and strategic direction of the Esteem Team program and Motivate Canada
  • Research and keep abreast of emerging issues in youth development
  • Research possible funding opportunities for both the Esteem Team program & Motivate Canada Research, identify and develop partnerships within the private and public sector to enhance the financial needs of our programs.
  • Attend and assist in the planning, implementation and recruiting for Esteem Team programs Research, identify and apply for community, regional and municipal grants that best fit the Esteem Team program needs. Included in this process is all communications with the grantors including filling the application, all required documentation and follow up reporting 
  • Develop and leverage new partnerships within both the educational, youth development and athletic fields to benefit the programs 

Communications

  • Provide Motivate Canada staff and Wellness Workshop partners with updates regarding the projects successes
  • Coordinate with the Communications Manager to create press releases on Esteem Team Ontario initiatives and events
  • Assist in the development of monthly, quarterly and yearly program plans and reports
  • Organize and participate in conference calls as required
  • Provide written Report to staff, Board of Directors and other stakeholdersDraft general correspondence as required

General Administration

  • Represent the Esteem Team and Motivate Canada at various meetings, presentations, forums, conferences etc.
  • Input presentation booking requests and confirm presentations on Goldmine software
  • Maintain and update school database on the Goldmine software
  • Assist in recruitment of athletes, volunteers and delegates as needed.Assist in budget preparation
  • Write Grant proposals for Motivate Canada as directed

Salary Range: $35,000 - $40,000
